So Many Sizes to Choose From!

10-Yard

The 10-yard dumpster is the smallest container we offer, but it can still hold the equivalent of 3 pickup trucks’ worth of materials. This size is useful for a number of small cleanups around the home, as well as some construction and demolition work:

  • Yard cleanups
  • Garage cleanouts
  • Spring cleaning projects
  • Light room remodels

20-Yard

The 20-yard dumpster is the mid-size dumpster and the most commonly rented dumpster, holding up to six pickup truck loads. Given its versatility, this size dumpster is suitable for a variety of projects. Order a 20-yard dumpster for:

  • Deck removals
  • Floor removals
  • Bedroom remodels
  • Roofing jobs
  • Big landscaping jobs
  • Dirt/concrete removals

30-Yard

The 30-yard dumpster is associated with bigger projects. This size dumpster, which can hold up to nine pickup truck loads, is a great height if you’re looking to dispose of large furniture.

  • Large deck removals
  • Large pool removals
  • New home construction
  • Interior renovations
  • Whole home cleanouts
  • Small home demolitions

40-Yard

The 40-yard dumpster, which can hold up to 12 pickup truck loads, is needed for the biggest of projects and should only be used when you have excessive amounts of waste.

  • Large home cleanouts
  • Demolitions projects
  • Major interior renovations
  • New construction
  • Roof replacements
  • Community cleanup events

Can I Overload the Dumpster?

Great question, and no, you can’t. “If it fits, it ships” doesn’t apply to roll-off dumpsters. When loading your dumpster, you want to try and load the dumpster as evenly as possibly. Overloading the dumpster will lead to an additional charge for driver delay and dumpster dig-out. The dumpster should not be filled above the top and there should be no items hanging over the sides or sticking out of the dumpster.

Factor in Weight

Just because the dumpster is bigger, doesn’t necessarily mean it can hold more weight. It’s true to some degree, but isn’t always the best case. For example, if you’re looking to dispose of concrete, a 10-yard dumpster may be best. If you load a 20-yard dumpster or a 30-yard dumpster full of concrete, you likely will be exceeding the weight limit for that dumpster. It will then be too heavy for us to remove the dumpster. When renting a dumpster, make sure to select the right dumpster for both the size and weight of the materials you’re getting rid of. Again, a customer service representative will assist you in making that decision.
